We found a great article on different celebrity makeup styles. Obviously, every woman is unique and has her own style and makeup preferences. So it makes sense that we’re inspired by our favorite celebs and their makeup looks. Our styles are definitely dramatic and classic. Rihanna, Beyonce, and Eva Longoria are our dramatic divas whose makeup we LOVE. And the classic makeup, timeless beauties we adore are Angelina Jolie and Halle Barry.

At first, it seems that dramatic and classic are complete opposites. But for us, it’s fun to mix and match different looks. Classic makeup is ideal for a sophisticated daytime look, while dramatic is perfect and sexy for the fun party nights. We might even do Natural, Romantic, and Ingenue styles sometimes based on our mood or outfit.

A Natural makeup style like Jennifer Gardner works for everyday casual, while Ingenue makeup like Kate Hudson is angelic for springtime (or blondes). Romantic makeup could work for day or night, depending on your coloring, outfit, or preference.

Beyonce looked drop-dead gorgeous at the 2008 Met Event.  Love the eye makeup and pink lipgloss.

She knows that you play up the lips or the eyes (not both!).  So when you do dramatic eye makeup, it looks best with a muted soft lipcolor.  Beyonce goes for a sheer, light pink gloss that looks beautiful with her pink gown.

Even if you’re not going out to a glamorous event like the Met, you can get the same sexy look for your lips.  It’s perfect for day or evening, and ideal for the summer.

My favorite is the Balm lipglosses at Sephora–especially the pink Watermelon gloss.  And it does double-duty!  It tingles and exfoliates the lips so you’ll have smooth, glossy lips that look natural and smell yummy.

Beyonce is not only supremely talented, she’s also known as a sex symbol.  It’s no wonder–she knows how to flaunt her stunning features.  Did you know she was the first non-athlete woman to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated?  Go B!

Today, we’ll talk about how to get sexy cat eyes like Miz Beyonce.  You can wear this look at the beach, office, or night out.

How to Get Sexy Cats Eyes Like Beyonce:

1.  A soft eyeshadow is optional. Light shimmery peaches and browns are great in the summer.
2. Use a black eyeliner to line to top lash as close to the root as possible.  At the outer edges, create a little “flick” at the end.
3. Draw the line to the middle of your eyes.  Do not go to the inner corners as it will make your eyes look smaller.
4. Optional:  curl eyelashes and apply a light coat of black mascara.

You can use any eyeliner you prefer, like a pencil or liquid.  Personally, I find the best results with liquid.  It’s dramatic ( but can be toned down) and it lasts all day and night.  MAC’s fluidline in black works perfectly with an eyeliner brush.

Follow these steps to get Beyonce’s golden goddess celebrity look:

1. After applying your makeup, use gold highlighting powder.  Use a flat eye makeup brush (or your finger) to apply it on your eyelids, with a little more under your eyebrow.

2.  Apply the gold highlighter powder in the inner corners of your eyes, and sparingly beneath your lower lash.

3.  Apply a little gold right above your eyebrow on the outer corner.

4.  Use a shimmery face highlighting powder to accentuate your cheekbones.  Apply it lightly with a blush brush, in a wide sideways U shape around the eyes, so that it hits right above your blush.

4.  Apply a golden body shimmer powder on your shoulders.  Lightly dust it on your arms and along your collarbone.

Just make sure you apply lightly and don’t go overboard–you don’t want to blind them, just dazzle ‘em!  After these steps, you’ll have a golden shimmery look that’s perfect for long nights out on the town.  Beyonce would be proud…
