Top Pick for Stunning Eyebrows

Another favorite product I’ve recently discovered, that I cannot go without, is MAC Eyebrow Finisher.

MAC Brow Finisher - Perfect Eyebrows

It’s quite possibly the perfect eyebrow product.  It’s a wax-style slim tool that’s convenient, doesn’t need sharpening, and lets you sweep on beautiful brows easily. Most ladies know how tricky it is to use an eyebrow pencil without looking really angry with super dark brows. And who wants to deal with multiple tools to groom your eyebrows? Besides tweezers and an occasional visit for eyebrow threading, the MAC Eyebrow Finisher in Wheat is all I need for a polished look.

According to MAC, it is “A slimline wax-style grooming tool specially formulated to shape and hold the brows in place while providing them with a sheer, slick, polished and conditioned-looking finish. Smooth, non-sticky, easy to use.”

It comes in 5 colors including Clear. Personally, I recommend getting a color close to your eyebrow color, so you don’t have to deal with pencils, powders, and brushes. Use it after putting all your makeup on, so you can get rid of any traces of face powder in your brows. Just sweep it on, and your unruly eyebrows will stay put, look groomed, filled it, polished, and conditioned in seconds…It’s really easy and a no-fuss way to define and hold those eyebrows (even with no makeup) for a beautiful, put-together look.

Pick up a MAC Brow finisher at the MAC website or one of their stores in the mall or counters in the department store.

Top Pick for Face Primer: “Prime Time”

My best friend and I were chatting recently about the best makeup products. She was looking to buy some great makeup for an upcoming wedding. One of her problems was deciding what to put on her eyelids that would last as long as the party would. I had to recommend one of my favorite makeup finds…primer! Particularly “Prime Time” from Sephora.

Prime Time Makeup Face Primer

Primer is a new makeup tool for me. But since I’ve tried it, and found the perfect primer, I can’t live without it. Why? A good primer fills in any bumps and smooths the surface of your skin for flawless makeup application. But the best thing is that it absorbs oil for hours, which means your eyeshadow and makeup will stay on longer. Your makeup will stay fresh and beautiful with less need for touchups.

Our favorite is Bare Escentuals “Prime Time” because of its smooth, untacky texture, and its long-lasting staying power. Put on a small amount on your eyelids and the rest of your face, and let it dry for a few minutes before putting on the rest of your makeup. You can grab yours at Sephora or wherever they sell Bare Escentuals products.

Oprah’s Favorite Things - Best Beauty Products

Oprah’s Favorite Things - Beauty Finds

Did you catch Oprah’s Favorite Things yesterday? Gail King, Oprah’s best friend and editor of O magazine, featured several top beauty picks for the summer including: Cle de Peau lipstick, NARS kabuki makeup brush, Presciptives tube concealer, and Maybelline mineral makeup.

I’d love to try the Cle de Peau lipsticks. They were these intriguing long black skinny tubes with vibrant lipstick colors. I haven’t used a long tube lipstick in years but it used to be one of my favorite things. Seems like Oprah was lovin the lipsticks, too! I’d also love to try the short, cute little kabuki brush from NARS, too. The “Fit flops” looked really comfortable and stylish, too.

While it was pretty funny to watch how excited the audience got, I can understand–they got LOTS of great goodies from Santa Oprah. This was the best episode to be on, in my opinion. They also got Mary J. Blige’s CD “Growing Pains” and a practical and cute weekender bag on wheels. That Oprah’s got great taste…

Have you tried any of these Oprah’s Favorite Things? Which do you want to try?
